Kalanchoe From Old World tropics, Kalanchoe have fleshy, typically green leaves and bell shaped flowers. Depending on the variety, they will grow from 1 ½ - 6 foot high, and 6 inches to 2 feet wide. Clusters of red, grayish, yellow, greenish white, yellowish green or purple flowers grow from stems rising above their leaf stems. Leaf shapes vary from notched, scalloped, oval, waved and crimped.
Best if used as a houseplant, but can be grown outdoors where winters are mild to warm, but protect from slugs and snails. Place in full sun or partial shade outdoors, and indirect bright light indoors. Moderate to regular water.
