Aloe, Primarily South African natives, range in size from 6 inches to trees. All form clumps of fleshy, pointed leaves and bear branched or un branched clusters of orange, yellow, cream or red flowers. Most bloom from midwinter through summer, however some bloom every month. Leaves vary from green to gray green and are often striped or streaked with contrasting colors.
Aloe is easy to grow in well drained soil in reasonably frost free areas. Plant in full sun to light shade, they need little water, but can take more.
